A leading figure in the genealogical world, Peter founded the company in the 1970’s, little realising at the time that it would become the prominent family firm of today. A chess-playing crossword-solving marathon runner, he still finds the challenges as exciting now as he did all those years ago.

Simon joined Anglia Research in 2010.  His previous experience has been in the Legal Sector in Financial and Senior Management roles for well-known firms such as Ashursts, Macfarlanes and Rosling King. He brings a wealth of management and governance experience. His aim is to build on the already excellent client service and transfer his implicit understanding of the needs of Professional Clients to the Company as a whole.

Philip joined Anglia Research in its early years and manages the day-to-day functions of the business. His unparalleled research knowledge and near photographic memory is a major asset to the company. It is no small thanks to his invaluable input that Anglia Research has grown to become the market leader it is today.

Anglia Research benefits from Mark’s outstanding record in achieving international business growth, global business development and corporate governance expertise. Mark draws on his previous successes as an International Group CEO, Managing Director, Sales and Marketing Director, Business Development Director, Global Partner and Alliances Director and Chief Operations Officer in technology, consulting, services, manufacturing & product environments.

Mike took early retirement as Assistant Director of the Border & Immigration Agency, but couldn’t resist a return to employment when headhunted by Anglia Research. With over 30 years immersion in complicated family arrangements,  sensitive relationships, complex legislation, detailed investigations,  international contacts, team leadership, and tactical and strategic management, he sets the professional standard for our regional activities.

With a deep understanding of business accounting and the intricacies of probate estate distribution, Sheila is responsible for the smooth running of the finance department.

After a number of years in the insurance industry, Richard
joined the family firm in 2003 to help manage its continued growth.

Bushra is an experienced litigation solicitor having practised at some of the region’s most reputable commercial firms.  He graduated from Anglia Ruskin University with a degree in law and completed the LPC at the College of Law in Guildford.  His background is in complex contractual claims, negligence matters and breaches of trust. 

Bushra advises the company on all aspects of its legal portfolio and works closely with the Board of Directors.

Formerly Her Majesty’s Chief Inspector of Registration within the General Register Office for England & Wales. As Chief Inspector, Ian built up considerable knowledge of the structure and service delivery standards within local Register Offices. Ian also had Head of Branch responsibility for Certificate Services and Adoptions at the GRO.  He employs his invaluable expert knowledge to oversee all certificate ordering and to help and advise on the many complexities that are found amongst the country’s 200 million births, marriages, and deaths!

Nick holds a degree in law and joined the company in 2006 from a claims litigation background of over 20 years with solicitors and insurers.   Nick views his current role as a unique and highly challenging opportunity to combine his interest in genealogy with the demands of providing specialist legal advice and assistance arising from the probate genealogical research services offered by Anglia Research.

Having formerly practised as a Solicitor for over seven years, Joanne is an experienced probate practitioner who heads up our in-house administration team. Previously with Eversheds, Joanne's knowledge of intestacy administration would be hard to match.

Diane has worked in Private Client law since 1998.  She qualified as a Legal Executive in 2005 and specialises in Probate and in particular intestate estates.  Diane's invaluable experience makes a huge contribution to the company's reputation for efficiency and integrity.

A specialist in probate law, Rachel is a Graduate Member of the Institute of Legal Executives and ensures the smooth operation of all administrative processes.

Alex joined us in 2005 after 24 years’ service at a leading International Bank in London. He finds genealogy interesting and challenging.  Alex enjoys the uncertainty of opening each new case as at that stage we do not know where our searches may lead.

Kay was formerly a senior business executive responsible for a large chain of outlets. The opportunity to be involved in genealogical research and asset tracing attracted her to Anglia Research.

Prior to running her own successful genealogical company, Eileen was a Complex Caseworker for the Department of
Work & Pensions.  Anglia Research was delighted to headhunt her and acquire her knowledge and expertise, especially in relation to the north of England.

Eileen also worked for many years in the Local Studies Department of Manchester Central Library.

Having graduated with a first-class honours degree in Politics in 2002, Oliver quickly joined the Anglia Research team and remains one of our longest serving case managers. His head for problem solving and analysis is well suited to the role.

Sue’s former position as a Senior Intelligence Analyst was the ideal preparation for her current role. Her skills and experience proved ideal for handling a varied portfolio of cases.

The Met’s loss was our gain. Matthew spent many years in research and analysis for Intelligence Units within the Home Office, including working for the Royalty Protection Team.

An old head on young shoulders, George mastered the complexities of probate genealogy with the same facility that brought him academic success.

With a career in publishing and insurance, including claims negotiation, Carolyn was well-placed to transfer her skills and knowledge to the rarer world of probate genealogy.

Originally from California, now a British citizen, Lisa has a strong research background including work as a research analyst of commercial property and a legal researcher of copyright law.  Her primary genealogical specialities comprise research in the United Kingdom, the United States and Canada.

Christopher used his Business Economics degree to achieve success in management  before joining Anglia Research and rising rapidly to his current position.

Following a successful career in PR and advertising, London-born Colin turned a lifelong interest in genealogy into a late career move, and has never looked back.

Terry has 30 years experience as a Genealogist, Archivist and Family Historian and is a full member of the Society of Archivists. As well as holding a BA (Hons) in History with Heritage Studies, she also holds an Advanced Diploma in English Local History which she took at Oxford.  Before joining Anglia Research Terry also ran a successful online genealogy business.  Terry now employs her expert knowledge and practical experience for the benefit of Anglia Research’s clients.

The author of two books on family history, Cherrill enjoys nothing better than connecting scattered strands of dispersed families and proving their connection beyond reasonable doubt.

One of the company's most experienced researchers, Alison's specialist subject is the north-west, particularly people and archives in the Liverpool and Merseyside area.

If it were not for Beverly, BT’s vast company library might still be in the last century. Having triumphed with BT, Beverly now combines her knowledge and experience with her passion for genealogy for the benefit of Anglia Research.
