Position: Associate Researcher

Caroline’s interest in genealogy grew out of her fascination with both people and history, with the various threads which help to make us what we are and with the twists and turns of circumstances which lead us to where we are now. For over 20 years as a professional she has been helping people with their own familial discoveries.

When she’s not roaming Scottish archives and records offices, Caroline can be found recording gravestone inscriptions, clearing weeds and ivy with the Friends of Warriston Cemetery, editing the quarterly journal of the Scottish Genealogy Society or exploring and explaining the history of Dean Village, once Edinburgh’s main milling area.
