Carolyn has been a practising solicitor since qualifying in 1992. Having co-owned and managed a nationally renowned commercial firm, she brings her experience of both legal practice and business to Anglia Research.
A former university governor, upholding standards of probity and public accountability are areas of particular concern to Carolyn. Since the late 1990s she has been a member of various statutory panels which make recommendations on local government operation. She was lay chair of the Standards Committee of the West Yorkshire Passenger Transport Authority and is now the Independent Person to the West Yorkshire Combined Authority with responsibility for standards.
Carolyn’s first degree was in history and English literature and she enjoys her involvement in the detailed genealogical work of Anglia Research, where the past is revisited in order to transform the lives of clients in the present day.
