Matthew Stewart, BA (Hons)

A graduate of Queen’s University Belfast, Matthew worked in sales and marketing in the exhibition and conference industry for over a decade. He is skilled in assisting clients with events projects throughout the UK, Ireland and Europe.

He has a long-standing interest in genealogy, having researched his own family history for a decade – a notable success with DNA testing. This led to the discovery of a lost branch of his family, was featured in the BBC documentary series Family Finders in 2016.

 

It never fails to surprise me how much fascinating detail can be lost in just a few generations, but it shows us that you never know what stories might be lurking in our family trees, just waiting to be discovered.

 

It was Matthew’s enthusiasm for family history that motivated him to apply to Anglia Research. His in-depth knowledge of Irish records reinforces the strength of our team.
