Rachel Williams-Hill

Rachel is a Senior Field Researcher, connected to our Southport office.

After retiring from the Police force in 2018 following a 30-year career as an officer and as a detective, Rachel is now applying her skills in a new direction through her work with Anglia Research.

 

I have two roles. The first one takes me to the front doors of people to tell them that may be entitled to a share of the estate of a deceased family member, often a distant one, or one not even known to them, but who’d made no will. The other involves a desk and computer to do case research.

I’ve had several occasions when a family member has made a throw away comment, only for me to identify it as a crucial part of the case, or finding a vital bit of research information, I often call it a ‘golden nugget’, that connects a person to another person, an address, and so on. So rewarding!
