Sam Avery

Sam joined us as a Trainee Case Manager after graduating from the University of East Anglia with an LLB Law (Hons) degree. With a strong interest in people and family dynamics, he brings a thoughtful and inquisitive approach to his research.

Having studied Sociology for five years and focused his degree on family and civil law, Sam has long been fascinated by the connections that shape families through generations. Drawn to a career that felt more interpersonal and unique than traditional legal routes, he was intrigued by the world of probate genealogy.

Before joining Anglia Research, Sam explored his own ancestry, tracing his family tree back to the early 1800s and uncovering fascinating stories, including a great-great-grandfather who was one of 23 siblings. Naturally analytical and curious, he finds that questioning every detail is key to uncovering the often complex histories behind each case.
